Yokkaichi, a industrial city in full boom. Working in a grand entreprise, Jiro Tezuka knows Harumi in a motorway cafe. He decides to put her working in the bar Sawa which boss, Sawako, is the daughter of the director of his entreprise. Meanwhile, he also knows Masae, widower to the director of the foundry Oka... Le Rouge et le noir from Stendhal inspired me to writte the scenario. Dying to be free - this romanticism that today nobody is capable to assume. I wanted that this film run with its speed, as if its action could be turned into a drawning, culminating not on a clich閐 catharsis, but liberated precisely of that narration. (Kiju Yoshida).
